The presentation of the story in Infamous is very minimalist, with the majority of the dialogue being radio chatter and the primary exposition coming in the form of comic book style cutscenes narrated by Cole.
Despite being at the center of the explosion, Cole survived and gained the ability to wield a variety of electricity based powers. Infamous tells the story of Cole McGrath, a bike messenger that gains superpowers after delivering a package that explodes in his hands, killing thousands and creating a deadly plague.
